PTA

A very warm welcome to our school.  We realise it can be strange and a little nerve-racking joining a school and there always seem to be so many questions to ask!  If you have any questions after reading this, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Taylor (our Headteacher).

With your help, we can make a difference.

Helping to provide the memories that we all cherish.

WHY DO WE HAVE A PARENTS, FRIENDS, TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (PTFA)?

We are very fortunate at our school to have a PTFA that has been an integral part of the school community for many years.  In its time the PTFA has raised many hundreds of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in school in general.  Our PTFA is known as - Friends of Trinity All Saints.

But it is much, much more than just fundraising.  Friends of Trinity All Saints exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to socially bring staff, parents, carers, and friends together in support of the school working towards a common goal.  And it’s fun!  Obviously, as in any organisation, there are times when it is more challenging, but with the continued support of parent/carers and staff, Friends of Trinity All Saints has always succeeded in its efforts.

HOW DO WE RAISE MONEY?

As in most schools, the majority of funds are raised through the events that we run.  Some of our most popular events are the Fairs and social get-togethers.  We have printed tea towels, had fashion shows and ladies pamper nights, summer barbecues and bingo nights!

So you can see there is always something going on!  We always try and respond to the children’s requests for events and it is truly the icing on the cake to see them having fun at the events or enjoying the use of new equipment that Friends of Trinity All Saints has donated to school.

HOW DO WE SPEND THE MONEY RAISED?

It is at our meetings that the decision on how to spend the money is taken.  Usually, our headteacher will have a ‘shopping list’ of items that the school would like to purchase.  Sometimes this will be as a result of the children asking for something and voted on through the School Council.  Other times it will be resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment.  In the main, the Friends of Trinity All Saints funds are the ’extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting, for example, school trips and playground equipment.

Money is spent quickly.  That way, you can be sure that in supporting our school, your child will feel the benefit.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through Friends of Trinity All Saints.  Offering to help before events or at other times during the year is so valuable – it really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’.  It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school.  There are always little jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets.  We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the unseen help that exists in school.

You can, of course, come along to our meetings and give us your ideas for fundraising events- this is also the time to ask questions and voice your opinion.

You can help by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use – anything is valuable to us.  You can do this by either providing your details to the school office or at the next meeting.

And finally, we are always extremely grateful to receive any donations.

We hope you now know a little bit more about Friends of Trinity All Saints. On behalf of all the children, we would like to thank you for your very valuable support which enriches their learning experiences and makes their time in school so enjoyable.
